-Champagne Toast at Midnight

Also included are party favours (the legal kind), noise makers, balloons, and the most fun you’ve ever had on New Year’s Eve without the crowds, freezing cold, and craziness of Times Square.

Tickets are only $79/person (probably the cheapest New Year’s in New York!), and must be purchased in advance online at our online reservation page.

DON’T MISS OUT!    Get your tickets now.   They may be gone by tomorrow!

NCT Spooktacular 2011 is almost here!

Because if you’re going to die, you might as well die laughing…*

*purchase tickets at your own risk…don’t say we didn’t warn you!

The Spooktacular is this weekend!

Our annual Spooktacular features games that we only play once a year, and for good reason.  There are creepy themes to all the suggestions, death defying sketches – including one where performers’ heads are submerged in a bucket of water for the entire scene – and the weirdest ending to a comedy show that you’ll probably ever see!

This year, the shows will be on Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th at 7:30 & 9:45 p.m.

Tickets are just $15 for adults and $12 for students/seniors.  These shows always sell out, so get your reservations soon!

2011 Summer Comedy Camp Now Enrolling!

The National Comedy Theatre is gearing up for its fourth annual Summer Comedy Camp, where we give our students the opportunity to explore the worlds of improv and sketch writing. Much like NCT’s professional team, our group of students will quickly form an ensemble of performers, working together to develop their skills and, ultimately, build a quality performance that friends and family will be invited to attend at our state of the art off-Broadway theater in midtown Manhattan.

Our camp runs July 18th-29th; Monday through Friday, running for a total of two weeks. Students will have the option of studying either improv or sketch writing; or taking both classes. In the end, our goal is to give our students the skills they need to go on creating comedy long after our camp ends…and, of course, to have a blast in the process.

Improvisation: Monday-Friday, 10AM – 12:30PM
Learn improvisation with the world famous National Comedy Theatre. Our workshops feature fundamentals of stagework and improvisational comedy, character and scene development, self-confidence, living “in the moment,” and the experience of planning and putting on a full performance open to family and friends.

Sketch Comedy: Monday – Friday, 1 PM – 3:30 PM
“What is funny, and why?” is where we begin in the sketch writing class. Through scene study and improvisation, our students will begin to answer that question and write/develop their own scenes focusing on structure, character, and timing. Our second week focuses on our final performance – writing, rewriting, and rehearsing our scenes in preparation for our invited show: a structure very similar to professional sketch comedy shows like SNL.

Tuition
Improv – $350
Sketch Comedy – $350
Both courses – $600 (save $100!)

Phil Grove seemed to have a lot of aliases…but he and his group were good sports for “Dinner at Joe’s”

Damien likes to work out a lot.  He helped the team with “Audience Sound Effects”.

Ms. Bethune told us all about her students during “Dinner at Joe’s”

Yes…sometimes you get to touch the actors.  But not too much.
